A modern-day treasure hunter

My name is Emmanuel Hébert. I found every piece in this catalogue myself.

It all began when I came home from a long journey through India, seeing things differently. Not long after, more than ten years ago now, I became an antique dealer.

Then came the old houses. Heritage restoration taught me the patience that old materials demand, and in time I was brought in as a consultant. The Manoir Blackswan is a place I designed and built.

For years I restored period lighting. Rewiring a hundred-year-old chandelier, tracking down the one missing crystal: that is where I learned what a well-made piece is worth.

Today, I hunt. Opportunities are everywhere, every day; you just have to be there, and know what you are looking at. This catalogue is what fills my two warehouses, one piece at a time.
